Hostel Meal Management System

A full-stack MERN application for managing hostel meal operations, with separate user and admin experiences — meal browsing and requests, premium-only meal likes, Stripe-powered payments, and a full admin control panel for meals, reviews, and users.

Key Features

–Admin can add, update, delete, and mark meals as served
–Admin can view and delete meal reviews
–Admin can manage all users, including promoting a user to admin
–Admin can search users and meals by title, username, or email
–Users can search meals by title and filter by category and price range
–Only premium users can like upcoming meals
–Firebase-based user authentication
–Stripe integration for payments
–JWT (access token) protected routes on the backend

Dashboard

–User dashboard shows requested meals, submitted reviews, and payment history
–Admin dashboard for meal management — add, update, delete, and serve meals
–Admin dashboard for review moderation — view and delete user reviews
–Admin dashboard for user management — view all users, search by title/username/email, and promote users to admin
